Let us take a bird’s eye view to the plot of this episode – The Tournament Of Champions: Part 2.
This Is Here In For You
Book Plot:
Being the last episode of the series was aimed to reveal something very interesting at the end. The episode, of course, ends on a similar note, but it lefts many queries and questions unanswered, making the viewers curious to explore the next segment of the series.
We see that Mahishmati is under the attack of barbarians and all the participants of the tournament remain united to fight as a team in favour of Mahishmati. The poisonous gas proves to be lethal for many of the citizens. Pradhan Guru and Bhallaladeva have their agenda during this war also. And we see that Baahubali was in a tricky situation where he had to choose between his heart and brain.
Eventually, people of Mahishmati got rescue army from Rudragni!
Actually, it was revealed that Bhallaladeva was able to sign a treaty with King Varaah and they are now allies of each other! This incident, of course, going to give him some browny points in his quest for the throne of Mahishmati.
Baahubali, who went on the rescue operation to save Yamagni was nowhere on the scene. Katappa tried to save Mahishmati and was able to get the ultimate truth revealed from Pradhan Guru. He was however attacked with the poisonous gas and he got unconscious on the spot.
While Katappa was struggling between the life and death, Baahubali was engaged in a fight with the Barbarians. Will he ultimately be able to overpower them all and rescue Yamagni?
Will Katappa survive? Will he be able to uncover the dark truth to everyone? What will be the fate of Mahishmati?
Views And Reviews:
As said earlier, this episode ends in a way that the viewers start waiting for the next season.
In terms of script and suspense, this episode is written nicely. I, however, was expecting some more points to be revealed in this first season itself. In that way, it is disappointing for me. But, if the second season will contain some interesting twists and turns, then it is going to be an interesting watch.
In politics, power is the ultimate goal and it leads a person to have multiple faces. In this episode, it is explored very effectively by the makers. While this episode contains some really nice dialogues, but, it is the pace at which things happen, makes you glued to the screen.
The last scene of the episode is shocking most, and it gives you an idea that why Yamagni is not mentioned in the movies and rather Devasena is there, and so does Pradhan Guru and other characters.
The background music is quite effective in this episode. It adds positive impact to various scenes and makes them believable.
The Baahubali film series is known for the special effects and visual splendour. In that terms, this TV Serial have less effective animations. Especially the way the characters walks, runs etc. are not looking realistic at all. If there were better animations the impact would have been even better.
We also see some inconsistencies in the faces of the prime characters, which is not good.
The voice-over artists must deserve an applause for the splendid performances. They are the real heroes of the TV Series. They did their job very convincingly. It is tough to represent various moods and situations only by using voice, they did it nicely.
So, in terms of twists and turns, it is good TV Serial episode, which lacks in some other departments.
