It all starts with the famous lines:
Main Doob Bhi Gaya To Shafaq Chhod Jaaunga”
Humayun when talking to his queen revealed that there is a good news too. Maharaja Maldev decided to help him in the current situation. His ambassador went meet him, came with the invitation from him. Humayun considered that as the the ray of hope and he though the fog against his future will about to clear. He was a strong believer of astrology and planned his moves based on the movement of the planets, which he considered more important.
On the other hand when SherShah heard that King Maldev he got furious and angry. He considered this as an act against him. He was now considering himself as the emperor and everyone who is going to help Humayun have to be defeated by any or all means.
Shershah asks his messenger to go meet king Maldev and inform him that the only way he can rescue himself from the strom of Shershah is to capture Humayun when he came there and surrender him to Shershah! The conversation between the messenger of Shershah and King Maldev, in king Maldev’s court was quite interesting.
The messenger says that Shershah was disappointed to know that king Maldev decided to help Humayun. When asked by Maldev that what is the reason Shershah thinks that it is something wrong to help an old friend and paying the friendship. The messenger says, it is indeed a great act to help a friend, but it is never wise to create a new enemy in order to do that. This is very correct in the political world of course. He then asks king Maldev that Shershah proposes him for a friendship. When king Maldev says that he already have invited Humayun how can he step back? The messanger said that Shershah asked him to let king Maldev finalize the next steps for his fate.
In the dilemma, king Maldev asks the messenger that he need some time in order to make the final decision. He had to choose from a very old friendship and the bright future! Which side would be heavy?
On the other hand unaware of this happenings Humayun and his caravan (well in addition to his army he have his family and others too) was moving towards the kingdom of king Maldev. En route to the same, a courtier from Maldev’s court came to meet Humayun and forewarns him about the dangerous situation it could be and advise Humayun to change the path. Humayun though trapped by the opponents. Will Humayun be able to get out of the trap and save himself with his nearest ones? Which turn history take from here?
The dialogs between Humayun and the history writer are quite good. The war scenes lack the intensity we expect. Overall a nice try to look at the history.
