Views and Reviews:
Maker Sujoy Ghosh was very keep to keep the franchisee of Kahaani series like the Feluda (story) series which he was fond of. While working on Kahaani – he got a good tuning with Vidya Balan so he continued the series with her. Vidya is a very talented actress and she uses the opportunity at the best extent when get a chance. The main role is written for her and she makes all from it. She is definitely in full form.
While Arjun’s character is comparatively small yet effective. And he is not looking himself but the character which is a positive sign. Tota Roychoudhary is very convincing in quite small role. Almost everyone is good enough in their performances. No one can imagine Jugal Hansraj in such type of role. His role is small though. Manini Chadha is convincing in the small role accordingly. The last half an hour of the movie is quite enjoyable and thrilling.
The script is good. There were mixed reactions for exploring the subject of child abuse at domestic level. However if you can appreciate the movie like Pink (rightly); this is another movie which you should appreciate as well.
Background music of the film is really adding positives to the movie. It sets mood quite effectively. The movie added with good background music and right locales leave unforgettable impact in the viewer’s mind. The sets and locales are chosen thoughtfully and it makes movie look authentic. It is after a long time we had seen good realistic middle class homes and offices. The movie is a delight to watch in terms of direction. The script and simple yet effective dialogs are worth to mention.
It requires out of the box thinking and courage to make such movie. And yes, there is no place for traditional Bollywood movie songs, but you won’t miss it while watching. And it is really the script and direction’s power.
Behind The Scenes:
It is a no-nonsense thriller which you will enjoy, if you like to watch crime thrillers. And it explores one of the less talked issues found in our society.
