As the name suggests “Baahubali – The Lost Legends” explores the incidents which are not covered in either of the movies.
We have already presented our views for the first episode of this series at:
Reviews For Episode 1 (Legend Begins) Of Baahubali: The Lost Legends Animation Series
Now let us take a look at the second episode
Book Plot:
However I will try to not to include any spoiler, some are inevitable.
Politics is a cruel thing. The love for the power and authority unknowingly turns into lust and eventually it makes one to do things which are unimaginable.
In last episode we had seen that Avinash one of the princes was sent to death because he got to know a dark truth about a powerful and rising figure in Mahishmati. As no one knew about his death (apart form the killer) people started label him as a coward who ran away!
Everyone else can be judgemental for not the parents. The parents of the missing prince insist the authorities to keep searching for their son and to get ultimate favor they pays a visit to prince Bhallaladeva who was one of the good friends of the missing prince.
Bhallaladeva’s response here is worth watching. Also it is worth to explore about how things took turn and eventually the parents have decided to not to search for their son anymore.
We also got to see that a king from another kingdom (King Yaduvanshi) pays a Royal visit to Mahishmati. Actually queen Sivagami have invited him. The king have approached with his son prince Varaah and daughter princess Yamagni. While prince was quite hot head and had a sense of power and authority over everyone else, his sister princess was quite modest.
In a series of events Sivagami sent princess to explore Mahishmati with Baahubali, and asked Bhallaladeva to take the prince to visit the armory of mighty Mahishmati. The incidents happened during these visits are worth to explore, and yes, there happens a shocking incident at the end of the episode. The incident was so important that it may affect the relations between Mahishmati and Rudragni.
What was that incident? You should find answer by watching the episode.
In terms of content the script writer does a good job. The incidents are written nicely and effectively. Also the end of the episode is explored in a way that it irks eagerness to explore the next episode at the earliest. The dialogs are written in a common man’s language which is a plus point. Also, the dialogs are not very long and they are simple and short. At places however you feel that as the scene is ending, the voice over artist needed to complete the dialog in hurry.
The background music is good. In animation series, after script and dialogs, the other aspect to look for is background music. The musicians doesn’t let down the makers.
The real heroes of the episode are the voice over artist who makes the thing live. Each and every one of them did a remarkable job we must say.
You will love to watch the scenes where Pradhan Guru was training Baahu and Bhalla. Also the zoom in scene to show Mahishmati and its Royal Palace are effective.
After watching Baahubali movies, we had great expectations for the animation of this TV Series also. It fails there. The animation quality is like other cartoon shows coming on various channels for kids. Even the war scenes and other similar stuff will make you looking for more.
Summary:
If you are a Baahubali fan you will surely like to explore it. And, for Amazon prime membership, it is free for first month, you may like to explore it. It is advisable to wait for a few more days to let a few more episodes get released and then you can watch them all together.
