Musaddilal comes to Jivandan Hospital in a rickshaw. He came with his wife who is pregnant of 9 months. She is expecting at any time, as she got the pain started. She was having unbearable pain, though Musaddilal is trying his best to calm her down, but how could she?
On the gate of the hospital the door keeper stopped them, and asked what is inside. He was having a Metal detector in his hands and was not letting them in. He asked them that he need to check the lady. Musaddi got angry on him and asked that only doctor could check her. And how could he know what is inside. It will be known only after the delivery. Her wife was though unable to control the pain and was having sounds of pain. A sweeper named Patel comes and asked them to not to shout as it could disturb others, it is the hospital and one should take care. Though, he is talking in so much high pitch.
Patel claimed that now a days people bring bomb inside the belly, so it could be anything harmful and Musaddilal must let the door keep check his pregnant wife. By seeing someone telling wrong words about his child to be born and wife, Musaddilal not only get hurt but also goes angry on Patel and the door keeper. It doesn’t affect to Patel or door keeper at all. Patel started his logical description and Musaddilal’s wife was in the paid. She was not able to wait a more minute in the standing position and finally they were able to enter the hospital.
He left his wife sitting on a bench and went to meet the doctor. We see a ward boy named Pandey was shouting on the people waiting for their turn to meet the doctor. Musaddilal some how managed to meet him and asked that his wife is in the pain. Pandey then asked him that he is seeing the first person whose wife is in trouble!!! Then he walked away from the desk by telling that it is the time for the lunch break. Musaddilal then tried stopping him and explaining the situation to him that his wife is pregnant and is about to deliver a baby. Pandey told, what is new in that, everyone’s wife deliver babies, there is nothing new in that?!
Patel was sitting on a bench and goes there. When Pandey sit there, Patel asked him that if he is having a bidi (the cheaper alternative for the cigarette). Pandey got angry on being called as Pandey, and asks Patel to call him with respect, call him Pandey-ji. He is a ward boy not the doctor!!!
Musaddilal comes there and requests Pandey to have an appointment note for Dr. Ushaji, who is a gynechologist. Pandey and Patel have shouted on him and avoided him. They were then started talking about the business of blood. We know from the conversation that Dr. Shukla now directly gets a lot of blood donated by the people and sell it in black and earns a lot of money and Patel got just 20 bottle blood sold last day, by saying that its down market!!! (In short the business to get the blood donated from the people and sell it to the needful is run as a business at the hospital and people from sweeper to sr. doctor all are the part of the same).
Musaddilal however cannot afford being avoided as his wife is in serious pain. He somehow conveys Pandey by paying him some bribe to prepare the appointment note for Dr. Usha. We see that Dr. Usha was busy with her nurse Tina showing her his latest necklace and discussing some useless stuff.
What will happen now? Will Dr. Usha help Musaddilal or he need to pay again? A lot of aspects of a hospital and work environment there (especially for the government and trust hospitals) explored and exposed here. If not all then most of the hospitals are having this as reality and no one can deny it.
A solid punch on this segment of the society. Must watch episode.
