Book Plot:

A ruler needs to be a good administrator and his focus should be on taking the right decision(s). He cannot fall in the trap to take wrong decisions in order to gain popularity. He needs to earn respect from the people which cannot be bought.

The fourth episode of Season 3 of Baahubali: The Lost Legends explores many such philosophical yet realistic messages along with the main story.

Bhalla and Baahu are now out of the Jungle and reach to the outskirts of a village. The village seemed quite different than the normal ones! Baahu and Bhalla came across some people who rather than responding to their queries or gestures tried attacking them! And, they all seemed to be doing the things in a trans!

A Tantrik intervened on time and rescued Baahu and Bhalla from the villagers and took them to a safe and guarded abode! The safe place was a small group of homes including the home of the previous chieftain which was converted into a secured abode. Baahu and Bhalla see that there are many villagers who are all hungry and living in almost half dead stage. Emotional Baahu and Bhalla were consoled by the Tantrik saying that they should be happy as the people are at least living!

The Tantrik then tells the story of what happened there. And, we came to know about a curse by Yama (the god of Death), which trapped the villagers! Baahu and Bhalla both were religious but they are not fools, they are rational and looking for the logical and factual details about everything. So, they both have decided to dig into the matter. They both tried their own ways and unknown to each other they both were able to come to a conclusion.

What was that conclusion? Is that really a curse which kept the villagers in a tragic situation or there is another side of the story as well? Will Baahubali and Bhallaladeva be able to get out of the situation and reach their desired destination? And, how are the things going on at Mahishmati? How is Dharmaraj ruling and what the citizens of Mahishmati think about him?

Views and Reviews:

Think Baahubali and you will think about the grand visual splendor and larger than the life stuff explored on the screen, right? If you watch this TV Serial expecting same grand visuals and splendor, you will be disappointed. Of course, you can expect only a certain amount of things from an animated TV series. But, ther e is a lot you can do here. See how the characters of Motu-Patlu in kids animation TV Series are explored giving a 3D effect to the characters. Can’t at least that be done for Baahubali: The Lost Legends: Season 3?

The main aspect of a media is its content and there are no two thoughts about it. If the content is not good then no matter how fantastic the execution is, you will not admire it. Here, the makers did a good job. Though, the initial segment of the episode explores a Zombie-like world, which I personally don’t like. However, the makers need to show the characters are living in a trance, so that is possibly the requirement of the script.

The episode strongly depicts the personality of both Baahubali and Bhallaladeva and the things are getting distinct by each episode. While Baahubali always think for the greater good, Bhalla is quite short-tempered and think for his own benefit. Often, it leads him to unwanted situations. This is something we need to learn.

Also, the physical might is not always the best solution to any situation.

The characters of Dharmaraj and Sivagami distinguish the difference between an inexperienced ruler who wants to gain immediate popularity and a visionary one who always think about long-term benefits as well.

Popularity and respect cannot be bought, it needs to be earned!

Also, the ruler needs to understand what people need and prioritize it over what people want. Because the wiser than the crowd is its leader. So, how can he/she not expect to think rationally?

The dialogs are really effective and uses day-to-language to convey the message effectively. It works in favor of the episode by all means. So, the team Arka Mediaworks and creative fellows require to be appreciated for the fantastic stuff they came up with, in script and dialogs segment.

The job of the voice over artists is not easy. They need to act through their voice and make the lifeless animated characters alive on the screen. All of the voice over artists did their job remarkably well. Be it Viraj, Manoj, Manini, Sumeet or others. Just naming one or more will unjust to the rest of them.

Of course, the animation team needs to work on the gesture of the characters very much. But, at the same time, they are able to bring various natural scenes and setups convincingly. So they require an appreciation for that.

The background music requires a special mention. It brings life to the respective scene and it multifolds the effect of the same.

Summary:

Well, if you love Baahubali franchise, you will surely enjoy this episode too. It has its letdowns, but, the postives are much more.
