Those who had witnessed the days when DoorDarshan was the only channel aired in India, must love to remember the memories of those days. Of course, there were less choices, but, the content aired on this channel was quite good. We often miss those quality TV Serial these days, when we have 100s of channels available. We love to revisit those TV serials which are most often available on DVDs. We were curious to explore Captain Vyom since long and fortunately it is made available on YouTube officially by the makers of the same.

Let us take a bird’s eye view to the plot of the episode.
This Is Here In For You
Book Plot:
Now, as Vyom has accepted the mission to grab the escaped deadly prisoners, his immediate next task is to chose his team. It may look an easy task (to choose a team), but it is not. While, Vyom will join hands with Maya without a doubt, he need more teammates to assist him in his mission to re-capture those 12 deadliest criminals.
Each of the escaped criminal is one of the greatest scientists of his/her time, having unique ability. And there are few wormholes from where there can try to escape. And once, they pass through one of these gateways, they can go to any galaxy and in any time! So, it would be almost impossible to catch them then after. Vyom and his (future) team may have only 150 hours before the criminals escape through these routes! Will he be able to capture them before? Well, only time can tell that.
We also got to know that Vyom is having some dreams where he revisits his past. As a young kid he was trying to escape from something and asking for help to his father. These dreams are more of energy draining experience for him, and we got a hint that there may be some of the personal tragedies happened to him. Again, what was the course of events and how will it affect the future life of Vyom, only time can tell.
Over the course of episode we got to meet Sidie, Pablo, Emson, Embert and Chief Engineer Phuller. Who they are and what role they are going to play in the story ahead, should be better explored by watching this episode.
The episode is officially available to watch for free, so enjoy 🙂
We witness an interesting conversation with which Astro Guru, Vyom and Surya are associated with it. They were talking about fear and astroguru suggests that one needs to obtain “jaya” over the same. Now, this is very interesting. In Sanskrit (and thus in many languages which influenced by the same), there are two words “Jaya” and “Vijaya” for “Victory”. Jaya is something where one party wins, but none of the others is defeated, i.e. conquering one’s own attributes. At the same time, in Vijaya, you conquer the opponent by defeating him. So, we must say, that the dialog writers took really good care of choosing proper words.
Also, the conversation where AstroGuru talks about the unique light he sees at a specific place, he mentions about the light with life! It is definitely a unique way to looking at a very specific form of energy. It is very much resembles to what we call the soul.
The concepts of Wormhole is referred very effectively in the episode.
These few examples must have had given you the idea of what level/kind of interesting concepts are explored in this episode. It makes the TV Serial more reliable to its genre – SciFi.
The way, the name of the characters are chosen is quite interesting too. Vyom, referring to the infinite space (including the sky) or Maya, referring to the illusion, are quite evident. In this episode, you meet one of the robots who is named as Sidie! The technology can provide us the support or sidekicks, but they cannot replace the humankind (or should/must not). It is us, the humans, who need to do some of the works by relying on ourselves only, dependability on the machines and technology beyond a certain limit is not not advisable.
The concept of a race on the asteroid belt is interesting as well.
What we crave for is the SFX/VFX and though it is good, especially in terms of the time when it was infused in the TV Serial itself, they look immature these days. There are scenes which stands out but largely it looks like you are watching a recording of a video game. The main reason behind such experience is the fact that we are used to see a lot of great quality special effects on movie and Television screens. The original prints are remastered, but, not much of the changes to the original content are possible and thus it will remain a loose end.
The other attributes like the fantastic content, the thoughtful dialogs, the nicely growing up characters and others, make it simply “not to miss” Tv Serial episode.
Summary:
Overall a TV Serial, you must not miss. It will prove a good watch for Kids especially during this summer vacation time.
