Let us take a bird’s eye view of the content of the episode.

Book Plot:

A hooded figure is coming to the guarded walls of Mahishmati. He is all covered in black and he is not alone. A young lady and a kid are accompanying him. The kid seems tired and we can concluded that they have covered a very long distance.

They are stopped by the guards of Mahishmati who considered them as beggars. The hooded figure tried to convince the guards that he is not a beggar and he came here for a reason. The guard tried to assault the man by overpowering him. But, within moments the hooded figure overpowered both the guards with mere strength! He was about to use the weapons of the guard on them, when the boy accompanying him, his son, hasn’t stopped him.

Baahubali and Bhallaladeva reaching to the scene by hearing all this chaos. And, upon the enquiry we came to know that the hooded figure came there from the land of mountains and son of Khan, and the brother of Gamala Khan. His name is Chagtai Khan.

If you remember, Gamala Khan is the hot headed prince who’ve visited the tournament of champions. He was very arrogant and he even disrespected queen Sivagami. It was the battle between him and Baahubali when the robbers attacked Mahishmati and eventually Gamala was died due to the poison spread in the air via balloons.

Chagtai, possibly unaware with all the real incidents happened, in in the impression that his brother is killed by Baahubali. And he has not aim left in the life apart from taking the avenge of his brother’s death.

Sivagami and both the princes tried to explain the things to Chagtai. They welcomed the family of Chagtai with a treat. Chagtai explained that he is not here to assault or threaten them. He is here so a war can be prevented. He then went ahead and explains that by hearing about the death of Gamala, his father got so furious that he wanted to attack Mahishmati with entire army of theirs. But, he intervened and came here to prevent the war.

His proposal is somewhat intriguing.

What is his proposal? Will Sivagami agree with the proposal? What is the solution of this deadlock? Will one of the prominent figures had to meet with his/her death to get out of the situation?

Well, watching the rest of the episode will bring you the answer(s).

Views and Reviews:

The episode is good in terms of the content. The character of Chagtai has many shades. He is not a brutal, arrogant and short sighted warrior, but he is a wise man who is a brave and skilful warrior. When he reveals his intentions to Baahubali you will start feeling soft for him. And, that is the beauty of the plot. Each and every character is explored so nicely with the shades of grey and white, that each of them looks realistic.

As telling more about other incidents explored in this episode will lead to spoilers, all I can say is, none of the incident explored in the episode is worth skipping.

The story itself is good and it talks about importance of family, the attributes one should possess to become a good ruler, and the ability to see the truth in any dark event. If someone wants to learn, the episode comes up with a few worth to implement life lessons.

The background music is really remarkable. It multifolds the impact of the respective scenes(s). The soft and hard tones are implemented by judging the scenario and you will love hearing them. In fact, even the animation quality is quite better in this episode. Some scenes really look larger than the life. However, our complaint about the animation quality is still there. As, we’ve said earlier also, the Baahubali series is all about visual splendour explored on the silver screen in grand environment. And, based on that the TV series belongs to the same genre, we definitely expect some fantastic visual effects. In that terms, it is disappointing. Especially, when the prime characters are walking, they look un-natural by all means.

The sound quality is good. And, in addition to the background sound, the dialogs are recorded quite effectively. Actually, for any animated work, the dubbing is one of the most important aspects. The dubbing artists are the real heroes who makes the sketched and animated characters alive. They need to act through their voices, and we are happy to see all of the voice over artists doing their job with convincingly.

Summary:

Overall, a nice TV Serial episode which sends a few messages. Of course, those who love the Baahubali series will enjoy it more 🙂 . If the animation quality could have been improved, it will be better viewing experience.

Watch out for our views for the next episode of the second season.
