This episode moves forward the story from where we left it in Episode #7.

The lady in love always want her beau to understood her feelings well. The same happened in case of Kiran. Vikram was a good soldier but was unable to express his feelings so openly and somehow the rift or competition between him and his friend was like “may the best man win the heart of the lady”. Now this didn’t went well with Kiran. She got furious and drove away her scooter from the tennis court. She was unable to concentrate on driving and hence unable to control her vehicle she met with an accident. As Vikram was worried about her and was behind her, she was taken to the hospital immediately. She finally recovered.

These scenes are meant to show the complicated feelings of love, emotional side of soldiers, and a bit of human nature. Though we must say the episode doesn’t lose its focus from one of the major attributes the armed forces are known for – the discipline and the commitment.

For example, when we see that Kiran was in the operation theater and needs O -ve (O negative) blood. Two soldiers came to donate the blood. One of them was Abhi, whose blood group was O -ve. And the fellow came, just because he was Abhi’s buddy! Now as we know through the previous episodes, what a “buddy” is (in context of commandos); we will not go into the details again. But yes, its is one of the best bond of feelings we must say.

The actress playing the mother of Kiran, doesn’t seem convincing. Col. Kapoor acts convincingly. Shah Rukh gets better. The actress playing her love interest and a doctor is not convincing and not very unconvincing too. The actor playing Vikram is the second best performer in the scenes discussed so far.

Based on the technologies we used to see in filming these days, some scenes look less effective. For example the lady running away on the scooter, and her accident doesn’t look very effective, based on what we are used to see, in terms of technology. The scenes are not very melodramatic also, it is the plus point of course. Simple treatment sometimes makes the thing better.

We also got to see the emotional side of the soldiers and their composure in tough emotional situations.

The scene where the lady doctor Rathod (Dr. Rathore) handled a session for the commando trainees regarding the medical advise is important part of the episode. Apart from some comic relief and some moments of flirting, the scene is meant to explore the importance of basic knowledge of medical field for a commando. In a tough situation he needs to know what could be dangerous to eat, how to stop bleeding and so on. Even various kind of bandages and how they should be applied is tried to explore, though it went through flirting track, otherwise it could have been a very nice segment. It is very rare to find such details regarding commando training and the makers seems left no stones unturned in providing the most of the details in authentic way.

We must say though the flirting scenes are not very impressive, especially due to un-natural act of the lady playing Dr. Rathod.

The filmy dialogs regarding the blood, between Kiran and Abhi are effective. We also sense its reference to be used somewhere in the future episode(s).

In the following training scenes A. Kannan is convincing as the tough trainer. We saw when Dr. Rathod asked for a volunteer, each one of them was enthusiastic to offer his service, on the contrary, no one was so curious here! Quite a good exploration of human mindset and psychology.

We must say the serial is getting better with passing episode and despite of technological limitations and some underrated acting, it has a lot to offer. It is worth to watch.
