The kids are preparing some hoardings and banners for a Women’s club meet. Actually the election of the president of the same is arranged and Mrs. Sarla Diwan – the head of the Diwan house is one of the contestants. Sanju was making the hoarding where he wrote the word “Mahila” wrongly (in Hindi of course). Kirti was ready to tease her brother Sanju, of course. When she draws his attention towards the fact, he answered something funny, thought trying to be local at that time, Sanju was funny nonetheless.
The chain was mischievous events between the children was not finished, and there came Sameer Diwan aka Chachu. He of course continues the same. When he was called by his wife Sunita (aka Chachi), to get his hair died; he refused to go. The reason he raise to not to go and have Mehandi in his hair, is actually funny. Though everyone got a good chance to tease him which they were not ready to let go. Sanju, Kirti and others tried dragging him for the same. And they are landed to their drawing room. We see there are a few ladies already sitting there waiting for Mrs. Sarla Diwan. As Mrs. Sarla Diwan was talking and insist everyone about the discipline in the meetings of Women’s club, they all got stunned when saw such undisciplined behavior in her home.
Sameer offers them to have a tea, till they wait for his mother. We gotta know that the ladies already have served with the tea several times as they are waiting since long. The way Sameer convince them that they might came earlier because his mother is never late; is actually something to watch.
After some time, Balraj also came from the office and still the ladies are waiting for Mrs. Sarla Diwan. It made the Diwan family think about the absence of Mrs. Sarla Diwan, because it is remarkably late now.
We see that Mrs. Diwan was taken to the police station by a police constable. The sub inspector in the station was quite honest and rigid kind of typical fellow. He was the believer of the fact that the law is same for one and all. Some people cannot be prioritized for the stuff over the others. And especially when one tries to showing off his/her link or position to the sub-inspector, he behave strongly.
So there is a strong conversation happened between the sub inspector Atal Kumar and Mrs. Sarla Diwan. Which ultimately lead to some strange incidents. One of the incidents was, Mrs. Diwan slapped Atal Kumar!!! The condition couldn’t get worst. However she called her home and finally was able to get out from the same but she will definitely be called in the court of law for this incident. The lady who is her competitor in the election was really happy with the fact. As it reduced Mrs. Diwan’s chance to even fought the election (getting elected is something which seems impossible).
However Sameer and Balraj prepared strongly for the defense of their mother Mrs. Sarla Diwan, and they in fact run a mock trial at their home where they were able to get clean cheat to Mrs. Diwan. But there comes a sad news. The case of Mrs. Diwan was to be presented in the court of Judge Mr. Roy. Now Roy was one of those college teens who used to tease Sarla (Mrs. Diwan), and was slapped by Sarla for one such incident!!! So he clearly got his chance to take his revenge right?!!
What happens then after is really nice to watch. The episode is actually a Satirical stuff about so many stuff we see in our surroundings. The politics, the changing loyalties, the family, the problems… almost everything falls in place. The background music is definitely good. But screenplay, direction and acting (with proper timing) is the best part of the episode. The court scenes however are far from the people’s expectations and probably the low point of the episode. But anyway, it is one of the must watch episode of the serial.
