Ready is a commercially made typical Bollywood masala film. It tells the story of Prem [Salman] who is a nice looking youth. His parents Mr. and Mrs. Ram Kapoor [Mahesh Manjarekar and Anuradha Patel] want him to get married and made some failed attempt of the same recently. As Prem tries helping Khooshi, daughter of one of his neighbour (to get her married with her lover who is actually a genuine guy with a bright future) by making them angry.

As the Guruji, respected by Kapoors, send them the details about one of his other follower’s daughter named Pooja, who is high at head, and the family decide to look her to see if she is worthy as Prem’s bride to be. Prem comes to the wrong terminal at the airport with his uncle to pick her up, so he can have an excuse for Pooja that he came to receive her but didn’t find her. He wanted her to get upset from the point. A girl named Sanjana [Asin], who is running from the goons (later revealed that they were the men of his uncles, who wanted to get her married with the groom of their choice) overhears the conversation of Prem and his uncle, and plans to use it in her favor to escape from the goons. She represents herself as Pooja and behaves rudely with Prem and goes to his home. She wins the heart of all the family members of Mr. Kapoor but Prem got frustrated from her.

Meanwhile, Sanjana’s uncles, Amar Choudhary (Akhilendra Mishra), and Suraj Choudhary (Sharat Saxena), who are rivals, and trying to get her married with their own brother-in-laws, and are trying to search for her and with whom she has ran away. Suraj Choudhary takes help of Mr. Lehri (Sudesh Lehri), to get to know who ran away with Sanjana, when he had given her and Prem a lift in his car in the jungle, where Prem, while driving the car, put Suraj Choudhary’s son, Aryan into comma.

Though by saving Sanjana’s life and knowing her real identity Prem developed a soft corner for her and they finally falls in love. They decides to marry each other. She later was taken away by her uncles and the rest of the Kapoors know her real identity. Prem plans to get her back and marry her; in which his family supports him. What he does to get Sanjana back in his life and then marry her is the rest of the film.

Music of the movie is already hit with some melodious songs. The movie was made in around 9 million USD and grossed to around 29 million USD according to various box office records which confirms the movie as a hit. Don’t go looking for logic in the movie, just watch it as an entartainer. Salman is as usual, his recent movies brings his golden box office time back. Asin didn’t get much impactful roles since her debut in Ghajini and this movie is no exception to that. She looks pretty and acts well, but not up to the mark she did in Ghajini. Paresh Raval is not getting roles which nurture or expose his talent, he is fine here, ditto you feel for Akhilendra Mishra. The Amar Choudhary track is not so funny. Mahesh Manjarekar is first rate.

The movie is a joy ride, having its own loopholes.
