Both Arnold and Stallone are remembered as action movie legends and they have their own fan following. Both of them are now aged and in the different era of the films. Both of them are still fit and fine like young guys. And their impression in the people’s mind will never vanished (as action heroes).

So when the movie have both them together, the expectations are quite high and the movie had to be exceptionally well to fulfill the same.

So does the movie lives upto the expectations – the simple answer is – No.

The movie is neither a bad one. You will surely enjoy watching it, but you will prefer to go for it when you have time to dispose. The movie also is a set-back at the box office.

Ray Breslin is a partner in a firm which does the security test of prisons. Ray, being an enthusiast for the security of the society test each prison personally to make sure that the one is inescapable. He got hired by various security agencies including government department for the same. He gets a GPS chips implanted into him and get captured. A part of the contract money was transferred to his firm, he gets the agreement for his safety, gets himself captured as a prisoner. Now inside the prison, he studies the technical aspects of the construction, its geography and the routines of the prisoners and guards there. He then, based on the loopholes he found, prepares an escape plan! And escapes the prison. (Well, its not that simple as it is mentioned 🙂 ).

One day he got one such contract. The amount he offered is huge so he and his partner decided to go for it, despite of being warned by the people who work with him and love him. Ray however decided go for it and he puts aside his usual rules for the same.

And, when being taken to the prison, the GPS sensor was removed from his hand and he was drugged! Now no one knows his location and whereabouts. The warden is determined to keep him at the prison for rest of his life. In the prison he meet a fellow prisoner named Emil Rottmayer and they became good friends.

Now they join hands in their – Escape Plan. How they play and what would be outcome of the same, is better to watch on screen.

Both Arnold and Stallone portray their role very effectively. They are good friends in the real life and that chemistry is shown on the screen as well. There is no prominent role for a heroin here. The actor plays negative are effective too. The background sound is quite effective. Technically the movie is good too, but somehow it fails touching the heart. Also people who seen these two legend fight as one man army, may not like them fighting more realistically (read hurt, bleed etc…).

You can go for the movie when you have some spare time, and you will not regret.
