Let us take a look at what this episode has for us to explore.

The plot:

In the last episode, we had seen that the Pradhan Guru was able to overpower Katappa and even break his record of being unbeatable in combat. What was very intriguing for Katappa and others, was the fact that, Pradhan Guru did it effortlessly. Also, it is a well-known fact that the weapons of Mahishmati are made from something very special which made them unbreakable and powerful. Pradhan Guru, however, was able to break the legendary sword of Katappa with his bare hands!

Now that is heart breaking for Katappa. It almost killed him alive. He was very proud of his sword and he couldn’t believe that it was broken. For a warrior, his/her weapon is his/her most prized possession. When he is disrobed from his weapon it is like his pride and self-esteem both were taken away from him.

Of course, it became the talk of the town in Mahishmati that the legendary sword of Katappa was broken into pieces and he was defeated by Pradhan Guru. And as we had seen a majority of occasions, when you are winning, everyone is praising you; but, as soon as you met with a defeat, people started neglecting you and start questioning your abilities. Even those who were not been able to make even eye-contact with you will start thrashing you. The fate was no different for Katappa. And the fact that he was merely a slave made the situations even worse.

Katappa started having nightmares and he was unable to get sound sleep. Whenever he tried to close his eyes the face of Pradhan Guru comes in front of him making fun of him and his self-esteem. Katappa sense that the Pradhan Guru is not what he seems to appear, he is someone with hidden attributes! Katappa decided to find and reveal the facts of Pradhan Guru.

But, this is not the priority task to him. His focus was on making his sword available to him. Without it, he cannot move ahead in his quest.

On the other side, the princes, who witnessed the tragic incident were started talking foul about Katappa. And, during the discussion, there were three legendary tales about Katappa was told to them (and eventually to the viewers) including one by Prince Baahubali himself.

We leave it up to you to explore those three tales when you watch the episode.

Views and Reviews:

When you are looking at Baahubali tales, you expect something splendid, something superlative, right? Well, in that case, this animated version runs below expectations. No doubt, it is made for young adults and kids mainly, but better animation quality was expected when big names like S S Rajamauli are associated with it. Especially when the characters are moving, they are not convincing at all.

In terms of content, the tales of Katappa are not the best and they are not bad too. They are above average. In terms of dialogs it is very good though. The tales convey some important lessons like:

  • We must take care of our fellow group members, when we are a team, we have to behave like a unit.
  • The main power doesn’t lie in the weapon, the one who uses the weapon and his/her skills matter the most.
  • Never say die, believe in yourself and your abilities. Keep fighting to get out from the trickey situations.
  • Be faithful to those who trust you.

and some more…

The background music is worth a mention. It is one of the integral positive factors of the episode, without a doubt. The real heroes of this episode are the dubbing artists, who done their job convincingly. Each and every dubbing artist does his/her part with honesty and they all possess the skill required.

Summary:

Overall an episode with some nice dialogs, above average script, below average animation and very good dubbing and background music. If you like to watch something no-nonsense with an aim to get entertained only, you can surely watch it.

I will suggest you that as there are 11 episodes released on Amazon Prime Video, this is possibly the right time to explore prime services free for a month.
