Salient features of iOS-5 : OS for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch

There will be a huge set of (200 to be precise) features will be added to the new version of iOS 5, the next verion of iOs, the OS for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch.

For the twitter fans, there is a great news that “twitter is integrated right into iOS 5”. The philosophy is “Sign in once in Settings, and suddenly you can tweet directly from Safari, Photos, Camera, YouTube, or Maps. Want to mention or @reply to a friend?”

The other salient features includes
Notification Center – E-Mail, texts, friend requests, and all other notification can be managed here.

iMessage – This is the service available for all the devices using iOs5, means you can send unlimited text message from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch to anyone having either of these devices, via wi-fi or 3G.

Newsstand – iOS 5 organizes your magazine and newspaper app subscriptions in Newsstand: a folder that lets you access your favorite publications quickly and easily. There is also a place on the App Store for newspaper and magazine subscriptions.

Reminders – Do we need to explain what this means?

Camera – As iPhone is really a handy tool to capture moments in high resolution, now it is available in the lock screen itself. So you do not need to unlock first and then go to the camera and turn it on, as currently need to do, may be the key moment to capture lost during the process.

Game / Calender / Better Browsing and Multi Touch experiences and enhanced image editing is of course the part of the updates along with many more.
