Maya Or Monisha Who is in the danger? | Sarabhai V/s Sarabhai | TV Serial Reviews

Astrology is a science based on a lot of calculation. There are lot of things said for the predictions. They sometimes got true and sometimes not. But it must be considered that if a skilled analyst can make the right calculations, than the chances of being the prediction correct can happen. It is so interesting that if we believe it or not, we somehow want to get some forecasting done (or might have got done in life sometime) for eduction, job, business, relationships etc. Nostradamus’ prophecies are still amongst the best seller books and the dooms day related myths and predictions still makes the movie a hit (Eg. 2012).

However we are not going to discuss predictions, prophecies or forecasting scientifically or philosophically. We are just digging into the episode of Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai Hindi TV serial (a sitcom which is a satire) which is related to the same.

Maya was packing things as tomorrow she is going to Paris. She was also writing down something on the paper (later we got to know that it is the note for Radhabai – the maid). Monisha entered with a small packed container of food for her. She asked Maya to eat the same when stay at hotel, in order to save money! Well, Maya definitely found it middle class behavior, of course. Maya than hands over the note she was writing to Radhabai as the menu for the next 10 days (when she will be away) for Indravadan. What important items were mentioned as the part of the menu is something you can know by watching the episode. Maya then asks Monisha to what to bring her from Paris. Monisha said that she heard that Paris is a costly city, hence she doesn’t want Maya to spend for the items there. However she will be delighted if Maya will bring something from the flight which is provided for free to the passengers! Maya doesn’t like the idea (of course) and she informs Monisha that she is going through first class. Monisha asked to bring more quantity of the free stuff from the flight, in order to get the best value for the money spent for the ticket!

Soniya, daughter of Maya and Indravadan comes there with her husband Dishyant. She was crying. When Maya asked her, she was unable to speak but keep crying. When asked the reason for the same to Dushyant he gave some irrelevant answers (which was irritating, especially in such situation). Sonya reveals that she got vision since a while that someone from the family is going to far. When Maya says she is going to Paris, Sonia confirms that by going far, she means the death. However when on the dining table, during the conversation Indu and Sahil said all, that these kind of superstitious things are not to be taken seriously and there is no reason to believe this prediction of Sonya.

However when taking food, Indu got something stuck in his throat. And at the same time Sonya called. Rosesh have confirmed her that it is dad, he is going to got dead.

But to his surprise Sonya confirms that the person is not a male but female. And her name is to start with M. Maya based on her feelings think it is Monisha and she tells her that. Well, Monisha confirms that even your name Maya also starts with M. Sonya also told that the person has some relation with glass. Which made Maya put down the glass of water she brought in her hand for Indu. Sonya calls again and tells that there is the black color found near to the person. Well, Monisha wore the black top and Maya have black color in her sari, which made the mystery to remain as is.

Indu gave a thoughtful look to Sahil when everyone left (Maya and Monisha to change the cloths, and Rosesh behind his moma – by thinking that she is the person going to got dead); and asks him “What do you think? Who is going to be dead, Maya or Monisha?!!!

This is the question which the viewers are also seeking the answer for. Which is found at the end of the episode. However there are so many incidents going to take place. Under the fear of death Maya and Monisha’s behavior is well-written and well-executed. The dialogs and music works as an aid. The splendid performances makes it a delight to watch with family.
