Legend Begins
The Royal Visit Part 01

Now let us take a look at the third episode

Book Plot:

I will try to leave the spoilers at the bey, but some of them are unavoidable, so read ahead with consent please.

Baahubali was eventually able to find the identity of the mysterious attacker who attacked Prince Varah! He was in the dilemma about what to do next. Rather than revealing the truth, he decided to confront the attacker first. And what he got to know was shocking! Of course, the act of the attacker was punishable, but his/her intentions were good. We know that prince Varah is not good as a human, he is very selfish and he sees nothing beyond his personal advantage.

Baahubali approached Katappa to seek his advice and at the same time, Pradhan Guru approached. Katappa decided that Pradhan Guru, in one to one meeting, can guide Baahubali better.

On the other hand, Prince Varah approached Bhallaladeva to offer him personal support and gain the same in return. Prince Varah’s proposal was lucrative, as he offered Bhallaladeva to support him as a future king of Mahishmati and have a life long affiliation with their kingdom.

Will Bhallaladeva accept this offer? Will Baahubali be able to get out of his dilemma and reveal the truth of the attacker to everyone? What Katappa and Pradhan Guru have advised Baahubali? Is there a future of the relationship between Princess Yamagni and Baahubali? Well, you can explore it while watching this episode.

Views and Reviews:

The content of the episode is really good. The things in the political arena are not straight forward. The episode explores that, sometimes, there comes a situation where the answer to the problem in front can not be simply yes or no. It would be tough to find what is right to do. Sometimes the ideal response should be avoided and you need to take a decision where you yourself may not agree, but for the betterment of the mass, you need to do it.

Also, the scene when Bhallaladeva and Baahubali were children and mocking a fight between them; there comes one good lesson of life from Sivagami. She shows them the soldiers coming back from the battle and both of them see that some of them were brutally injured and some lost various part of the body as well. And Sivagami confirm that some of them are not back (as they met with their death)! Upon asking, whether we lost battle? Sivagami replied them, no we won, but this is the face of Victory! Everything comes at a cost, and the war proves costly to the winner and to the loser both; and that too, in many aspects.

If this was the only scene in the episode, then also the episode should be considered “must watch”.

The dialogs are written nicely. They are small, simple and effective at the same time. The target audience is considered as young adults and kids. Though due to the violence, very young kids may avoid it, or parental guidance is required.

The animation quality disappointed me. Especially when Baahubali film series is known for being a visual treat, I have expected better quality animation here as well. Of course, due to the limitation of time, resources and may be budget too; it can not be made as splendid as the movie, but surely could have been better. The way character walks especially, looks funny, for example.

The voice over artists are the real heroes as they need to convey all the emotions without being seen on the screen. And there is a limitation of showing emotions on the cartoon characters (these animated characters more looks like a cartoon drawn). The background music is effective. The setup of Mahishmati kingdom and the palace specifically, looks good. Animators did a really good job here.

Summary:

If you are a Baahubali fan you will surely like to explore it. And, for Amazon Prime membership, it is free for the first month, you may like to explore it. It is advisable to wait for a few more days to let a few more episodes get released and then you can watch them all together.
