Book Plot:
Let us take a bird’s eye view of the content of this episode. I will try not to include any spoilers, however, some of them are inevitable.
The villages on the outskirts of Mahishmati are facing attacks from various decoits and the issue is getting bigger and bigger. Now they have started attacking the merchant convoys and caravans passing through the jungle and started looting them. It is now essential for queen Sivagami and her administration to take harsh steps immediately and get the situation under control.
There is a big setback as their plan to join hands with King Yaduvanshi was failed! The king is assassinated now, and Prince Varaah is the new king!
In order to fight back the shady characters, Mahishmati has to find some other alley as soon as possible. And Queen Sivagami thought of joining hands with Kalakeyas!
Katappa, knowing the brutal and cunning nature of the Kalakeyas and especially their chieftain have advised her against it. He was sure that this will create other problems in future as Kalakeyas are not trustable at all.
Sivagami was however rigid in her decision and wanted to initiate a communication with Kalakeya leader, as she sees this as the only way to take the situation under control at the current point of time.
It is decided that Prince Baahubali and Prince Bhallaladeva will go to meet the chief of Kalakeya along with Katappa and try to crack a deal!
What will happen now? Will the trio be able to meet the chief of Kalakeyas? Why the Kalakeya chieftain is so brutal and ruthless? Will he be interested in joining hands with Mahishmati? Will this meeting (if happen) be fruitful and they will find trustable allies in each other? All these questions are answered when you explore the episode.
In terms of content, this episode provides the thrills expected from it. There are some important incidents explored in this episode which will result into affecting the future of Mahishmati in one way or the other. The episode is written nicely and it maintains the pace throughout. There are almost no childish incidents in this episode.
Another important aspect which is worth noticing is the special language the makers have developed for the Kalakeyas. Yes, we had listened to it in Baahubali movie as well. But here, it is at larager extend. It is worth to note that what Kalkeya speaks are not just a set of arbitary words, but scholars have designed a new language on demand. There is a grammer assoicated with this language and a small vocabulory too. This treatment shows the dedication of the makers towards their work. They are not creating just another TV Serial, but, making something in convincing way.
We wish that the same level of quality control was seen in the animation of the TV Series. Even some versions of Little Krishna (animated TV Show for kids) have better looking characters and animation than this.
The scenes are built nicely and so does the sets. You will like the palace of Mahishmati, the location of Kalakeyas and the mountain ridge where the last scene of the fight happens.
The voice over artists are the real heroes of the episode. They are not only convincing but acts pretty nicely using their voice. All of them are at par excellence. We wish that the legendary dialogs “Mera Vachan Hi Hai Shashan” should have came in better context and not just for the sake of having it.
Summary:
Overall a nice at content, good at voice over and background music, episode which lack the quality of animation expected from it. You can watch it when have time. We suggest you to wait for a few more episodes and then sign in for the free trial of Amazon Prime Membership and watch all these episodes back-to-back.
