Dekh Bhai Dekh Hindi TV Serial On DVD Twelfth Episode Reviews

Twelfth episode of Hindi SitCom – Dekh Bhai Dekh – revolves around Sunita (aka Chachi). As we know Sunita is a growing writer. A good news came to her (and entire family) that her novel Jhonpda(the hut) received critical acclaim and she is to get national award for the same.

Sunita seems very happy since early in the morning. This made everyone in the home shocked (happily of course). She however didn’t disclose the reason for her happiness. The family members guessed various possible reasons (like she might be expecting a child) but Chachi asked them all that that speculations are wrong and they need to wait till the news broadcast to know the reason.

This elaborates a few important things like, you can be even happier when you have people around you who are genuinely care for you and you can share your happiness with them. This is the boon of being in a joint family. You gotta get affection of kids, love of siblings and other fellows of your generation and wisdom and care of your elders. This is the essence of family – the basic most segment of a society. It also reminds us the days when Doordarshan was the only channel aired and how people were keenly awaiting some scheduled programs on the same. In addition to eat together, pray together, family used to watch the television also together. Which was giving joy of sharing the moments.

Anyway, the news broadcasted and it is informed in the same that the prestigious Saraswati award (a high level honor in the literary field – a fictional award) for the year is announced. Mrs. Sunita Diwan – an aspiring writer is chosen for the same for her work – Jhopda (Jhonpda – as per the pronunciation). Of course, everyone is delighted to hear this.

Now Chachi becomes instant celebrity and almost all of the family members were trying to use the influence of their personal relation with Chachi in their personal working areas. And everyone arranges or agree to be part of some meetings/programs/parties by confirming to bring Chachi with them! However Chachi was quite focused that her priority for the Day is nothing else but the interview with Doordarshan team. The interview didn’t went pretty well and she got furious and cancels the interview! When she was walking away from the same, BANG! she ran into the table! And, we got to know all that was Chachi’s imagination and the novel written by her was not got any award! She was just day-dreaming!

In the news when she heard that other author received the prestigious Saraswati Sahitya Award she got angry with the judges and declared that the award was biased one, and judges did the partiality!

We also got to know that Chachi have modernized the Johonpada (the hut) in her knowledge. The Jhonpada in her novel was not less than a bungalow! Her explanation for such portrayal was also good to hear. Later she decide to meet a good author who did realistic work and admired for the same, to get some tips to write her next novel, so it can be very near to the reality and possibly bring the award to her!

How well her meeting with the author executed? What will happen now? All these question are answered in this funny of – Dekh Bhai Dekh – a Hindi sitcom.

The dialogs are small and witty. It generates innocent humor with the punch within the same. It doesn’t remain just a comic serial but also becomes satire at places. Of course, you will not be laughing while watching it but a genuine smile will be there at various places during the episode. The other positive point is you can watch it with your entire family. And the love and affection you see in all the family members for each other, is fantastic. Anand Mahendru as a director knows her job well and so does the writers. All the actors did well for their role and it is good to see their comic timings. As this episode revolves around Bhavna Balsawar, a special mention for her needed. Especially see her talking as a maidservant and you will get to know her range as an actor. Shekhar Suman is having the most scenes after her and he excels of course. Ditto for all the cast members, sometimes it feels that mentioning one name will do injustice with the other. The DVD quality is also good.
