Steve Jobs is an inspiration for a lot many people around the world. His life is a journey of boy with almost nothing, have achieved the remarkable stuff. we are not talking only wealth here, but the reputation, the determination and other qualities do count as well. Who forget his immortal speech at convocation ceremony at Stanford University, in which he described his life long journey in 3 stories.
The first story is about connecting the dots.
In this segment he discussed the segment of his life when he was dropped out from the college after 6 months. He explores his early childhood here. How he lived in the earlier days and all. How he have started learning calligraphy, what impact it maid to Macintosh and then overall Computer world, that point forward.
The second story is about love and lose.
This segment explores one dacade of his life, from the age of 20 to the age of 30. During this time, “Apple” started by him in his father’s garage and then it was grown to $2 billion company. When there is a board there are a management people of course. The ideas about the future of the company of the member of boards got clashed with those of Steve Jobs and he was out from the company. Just imagine what he was feeling at the time he was kicked out from the company he founded. What he done then after and how did he regain the control is the essence of this segment.
The third story is about death.
He delivers some philosophical content in terms of reality. Apart from the earlier times in his life, he explores the time he was detected with cancer. How he suddenly realized that he had a lot of arrangements to do before he leave the world. For his family, for his loved ones and other duties too. How he came to know the famous saying “Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish”.
This is obviously a glance to his speech and not complete speech of course. But the reason we remember it right now is, the book “Steve Jobs: A Biography” is publishing in a few months. Earlier the scheduled launch date was set for earlier in 2012 and now it is set to somewhere in the second half of the year 2011 itself. According to the official announcement by Barnes and Noble the exact date set is 21 Nov, 2011. Walter Isaacson is the author of the book. We are waiting desperately to see what will be there between the covers of that book? We sincerely hope there will be a lot of inspirational stuff there in the book. It is claimed to be authored by a person name John Cage. Several sources reveal that it is a fake biography of course. Here is the link to the page selling the same.
If you remember since last few days, there are number of stores found in China, selling duplicate/fake iPhone. Now it’s Steve job’s biography. Seems their love for “Apple” grows day and night 🙂
