Disciples of Trikaal- is a prequel of a fantasy series, this book is short and crispy, revolves around two ambitious Sadhak, Aru and Nemi, who wanted to please TRIKAAL DEVI. However, she was no Goddess and explains that the Gods and Goddesses are actually the time traveller. They asked for the boons of immortality, but TRIKAAL cannot grant that. Aru asked for Time Reading ability and he became a Trikaal Darshi; Nemi asked for time travelling capacity.
After getting the boons, their lives took a different course. Aru tried to help men with his power and warned villagers about flood, but they misunderstood him. He was thrown out of his village with his pregnant wife.
Nemi was an ambitious man, he misused his power and he could control anyone’s body from the past or future. He possessed the body of a plane pilot, an emperor of a future kingdom and lived royal life. His wife Kalika also encouraged him. However, he had one fear. If Aru was killed, he will die too, because the TRIKAAL has tied their death. So, he imprisoned pauperized Aru and separated him from his wife and son.
Nemi possessed the body of a King of his time and put Aru in jail. However, Aru tackled the General and convinced him for his death. He sacrificed his life and that saved a future space mission from Nemi’s evil ambition.
The story ended with a revelation that Nemi’s children inherited the power of Time travelling and they will be Time Demon in future, but, only a Time Reader can destroy them. However, there will be one among them, who will use his power for good, but Kalika was not please to hear that. She wants wealth and power, not welfare.
The story ended with a question, whether Kalika’s ambition will lead the future generation in a wrong way? Or, the time-demons will overpower all events of the humankind’s? Next books will definitely reveal all these issues.
I found this book, good and interesting. The story is attractive and language is easy and comprehensive. The book cover is attractive and the subject matter is unique, no doubt. It is a fine blending of fantasy and science fiction. Waiting more from the author.
