WholeShark Media keeps acquiring Coupon sites | News

In continuity of site/company acquisition news, we need to add one more. WhaleSharkMedia which have announced an investment by Google Ventures have continued its process of acquiring coupon sites around the world.

Now they are going for the acquisition of eConversions, Ltd., operator of the web sites VoucherCodes.co.uk in the UK and Gutschein-Codes.de in Germany. As we know Vouchercodes is one of the largest coupon sites in UK.

In past (on December 2, 2010) WhaleSharkMedia have acquired RetailMeNot.com. In the official announce for the same on that day, WhaleSharkMedia have announced that RetailMeNot.com was having 95 million unique visitors a year. In such case the site was amongst the most visited coupon site in the world. Other acquisition by WhaleSharkMedia includes deals2buy, coupon7, couponshare, cheapstingybargains.com and deals.com. By looking at the list of site it have acquired recently you can estimate its spread in the coupon sites category over the Internet.

As we know the coupon sites are getting popular because of the deals to grab they provide and make available the best deals to the user at their fingertip and at the same time it let the companies market their product/services to a huge audience. Let’s look forward to have more deals available to the visitor which let them purchase the stuff from around the global location at the affordable rates.
