In last episode we saw the incidents took place when Cynthia visited Peter. Well, she is beloved wife of Peter so there is nothing wrong in her meeting or staying with Peter. But army is all about discipline. It is the place where you should be up morally also.

Two mistakes Peter and his buddies does are 1) Peter didn’t informed his superior about his marital status and hence living in shared bachelor accommodation 2) They didn’t inform anyone when Cynthia came there, and let the couple stay together when his buddy shared accommodation with other fellas. Now as the superior didn’t know the truth about the incidents, when they came to know that there was a girl/lady stayed with Peter in nights recently, they thought about it in wrong manner.

The stuff went pretty wrong for Peter who was expelled from the training!

Now the friends of Peter are feeling sad and yet they have words of wisdom. They all also believe in Show Must Go On proverb. So despite feeling bad for their buddy, they are looking forward. And there will be another fellow joining them in place of Peter soon.

This is real life, and time waits for none. If one person was evacuated another will take his/her place in no time. This is the bitter truth.

The conversation between the friends – scene doesn’t create the impact it should. A couple of actor play below average here. And Shah Rukh does a little overacting. The background music in the scene is competitive though. The moving camera creates good effect.

It is followed by a scene – when the love bird Abhi waives towards her love interest, which was got wrong with one of his superior. As the officer thought it was her wife to which Abhi waived (and she waived back too!). Past several encounters between Abhi, that officer and his wife made him to doubt his wife and Abhi. The misconception was cleared later, so all was well then after.

Remembering the famous lyrics from Hindi movie Doston, Shaque Dushman Hai Dosti Ka, Apne Dil Mein Ise Ghar Bana Ne Do (friends, not trusting each other is dangerous for friendship – or any other relationship for the matter of fact). Again this scene have some poor acts, and trying to be funny scenes, which doesn’t impact that good. However the stuff is executed well. And most importantly there is no try made by the makers to drag laugh by two-meaning dialogs or vulgar stuff; which is common to be seen these days on the silver screen.

Lieutenant Dev was the buddy of Peter and hence he fond himself buried in deep sorrow for the mishap happened with Peter. His course officer meets him and convey some words of reality and wisdom and try to get him out of the sorrows and be ready for the remaining part of the training. This scene shows the real soft feelings the army officers possess below their stubborn nature. The trainee commandos were nothing less then younger brothers or family members to their teacher. A. Kannan is a good performer and he deliver nice act in this scene.

The scene between Parvati and her lover explores an another ongoing love story of the TV serial. It have ups and downs between the lovers and the girl’s family too. On one hand the use of cycles etc. makes the stuff realistic, we expect some stunning performances as well, but we got below average act here.

The training session is to conquer the obstacles. A commando have to quickly and effectively overcome the obstacles in his path and overpower the opponents. The training session may not be larger than the life and not full of special effects. But it is realistic. Which is good. It is the last quarter of the episode which justifies the title – Hilo Mat.

Overall an episode where you see some poor performances, not so funny comic scenes, words of wisdom, realistic training session, the soft side of army officers, the disciplinary actions and its implementation, and ongoing love stories. It is far better than some of the TV shows which are either aimless, or entertains by degrading itself below the level of dignity. The episode gives you some hard and wise lessons of life, which makes it worth watching.

In short, you should watch the episode.
